How to Migrate from Sollet Wallet [GUIDE]

Sollet, @solletio a web-based cryptocurrency wallet and browser extension that allows users to safely manage assets on the Solana blockchain, has shut down its website on December 8, 2022.

Sollet was well-known for onboarding many new users into the Solana ecosystem. Although Sollet is no longer operational, you can still recover your tokens and funds by transferring the keyphrase into any Solana wallet.

Recover your funds from Sollet [GUIDE]

Do not share your secret recovery phrase with anyone, as doing so makes your account vulnerable, and anyone can access your account with it.

Recover Funds into Phantom Wallet

Phantom Wallet
  1. Install the Phantom wallet.
  2. Recover your secret recovery phrase, which should be stored in a file named sollet.bak a file generated by Sollet wallet when you first create your wallet. You can generally find this file in your downloads folder.
  3. Import secret recovery phrase and click "I already have a wallet" on the onboarding page.
    Alternatively, press the Phantom keyboard shortcut ("alt + shift + p") or
    ("option + shift + p")

4. Select "I have a 24-word recovery phrase" and enter your secret recovery phrase. Click "Import wallet" to complete the process.

Recover Funds into Solflare Wallet

Solflare Wallet
  1. Download the Solflare Wallet.
  2. Click "I Already have a wallet"

3. Open your sollet.bak file with a text editor like notepad and copy down all words in the recovery phase below in the 24 words recovery phrase option.

2. Click "Continue" and setup your Solflare Wallet.
